The Factors that influence children's independence in learning at RA Darul Fikri Cinunuk Bandung

This research aims to explore the factors that cause children's lack of learning independence at RA Darul Fikri Bandung. Learning independence is the ability that children have to manage and direct the child's learning process without depending on other people. In discussing early childhood education, children's independence is very important in children's cognitive, emotional and social development. This research uses a qualitative approach with interview and observation methods with RA Darul Fikri Bandung teachers. Semi-structured interviews are a method used to collect data from teachers regarding their views and practices in developing children's independence in learning at school. The research results show that the lack of children's independence in learning at RA Darul Fikri is caused by several factors, one of which is that the teaching methods used do not support children's independence, excessive parental intervention towards children and a lack of opportunities for children to take the initiative in ongoing learning. The recommendations that researchers offer to increase children's independence during learning are training for teachers and parents, as well as adapting learning methods to students' conditions so as to provide lots of space for children to continue practicing independence.
