Abstract

Studi ini memiliki implikasi sentral untuk peran guru pendidikan musik dan pengembangan profesional. Berdasarkan hasil studi yang telah dilakukan disimpulkan bahwa guru sejatinya memiliki peran penting dalam mewujudkan tujuan pembelajaran yang diharapkan, khususnya dalam pembelajaran seni, sehingga guru harus memahami hakikat secara filosofis tentang peran dan fungsinya, khususnya dalam pembelajaran musik. Pembelajaran musik harus mampu memberikan ruang bagi pengembangan kreativitas berpikir dan kreativitas rasa keindahan anak, serta dunia anak. Hal ini didasarkan karena pada hakikatnya musik merupakan sebuah bunyi yang memberikan rasa keindahan bagi siapapun dan memiliki berbagai fungsi yang berkaitan langsung dengan perasaan dan pemikiran manusia. Oleh sebab itu, guru harus mampu memperhatikan karakteristik musik anak sekolah dasar dengan baik sehingga kegiatan pembelajaran musik dapat bermakna dan tujuan pembelajaran tercapai secara optimal sejalan dengan apa yang diharapkan.
