Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the description of self-control (Self Control) in adolescents in grades X, XI and XII from three high schools in Cigalontang District, based on gender, and plan a program to improve student self-control. This study uses a quantitative descriptive method approach because it is to reveal a description of self-control, self- control seen from gender differences and program design to improve self- control. This design is intended to collect historical data and observe carefully about certain aspects related to the problem being studied. The results of this study indicate that students in grades X, XI and XII in three high schools in Cigalontang District are in the high self-control category with a percentage score of 78.08% (226 students), meaning that students at this level have achieved an optimal level of self-control in each aspect and indicator.
