Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find an overview of self-acceptance, to find an overview of irrational beliefs, and to determine the correlation of self-acceptance with irrational beliefs in students of SMA Negeri 7 Tasikmalaya. This study uses a quantitative descriptive approach with a correlational design because it is to reveal the correlation of self-acceptance with irrational beliefs. The sample in the study on students of SMA Negeri 7 Tasikmalaya which amounted to 1,038 population with 279 samples. sample. Samples in this study were taken using random sampling techniques. The data analysis technique used in this study is the pearson product moment (PPM) technique. The results of this study are that there is a negative relationship with a low category of -0.324 between self-acceptance and irasonal beliefs. Based on the results of the study, it is necessary to develop guidance and counseling interventions to increase self-acceptance by using rational counseling techniques. self-acceptance by using Rational Emotive Behavioral counseling techniques.
