Abstract

This research is motivated by phenomena and theories that show that self esteem is something important during adolescence. The high or low level of self esteem possessed by individuals will affect aspects of life, one of which is in social life.
Because the dissatisfaction of the need for self-esteem will produce an attitude of self-confidence, a sense of worth, a sense of strength, a sense of ability and a sense of usefulness if the satisfaction of self-esteem needs is hampered, it will produce an
attitude of inferiority, a sense of inadequacy, a sense of weakness that will cause individuals to feel emptiness, doubt and hopelessness in facing the demands in their lives. The purpose of this study is to design counseling services to increase self
esteem in adolescent aliyah girls. The study used a quantitative approach and descriptive method. This research was conducted on 155 adolescent aliyah girls at Darul Arqom Garut Islamic Boarding School in the 2020/2021 school year. The results of this study indicate that in general, adolescent girls are in the moderate self esteem category. Based on the results of this study, an individual counseling service design was made to increase self esteem.
