PENGARUH METODE TANGAN AJAIB TERHADAP PERKEMBANGAN MOTORIK HALUS PADA ANAK USIA 4-5 TAHUN

This study aims to examine the effect of the “Magic Hands” method on the fine motor skills of children aged 4–5 years at PAUD Annisa Bissoloro, Gowa Regency. The “Magic Hands” method is a manipulative activity-based learning approach that involves activities such as cutting, pasting, and drawing to train children’s hand-eye coordination. This study employed a quantitative approach using a one-group pretest-posttest experimental design. The sample consisted of 16 children selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using an observation sheet that had been tested for validity and reliability, and were analyzed using descriptive statistics and the Wilcoxon signed-rank test. The results of the descriptive analysis showed an improvement in children’s fine motor skills after the treatment, with the mean pretest score of 20.75 increasing to 29.81 in the posttest. The Wilcoxon test result indicated a significance value of p < 0.001, suggesting a statistically significant difference between pretest and posttest scores. In addition, the method also promoted children’s activeness and engagement during the learning process. Therefore, the “Magic Hands” method can be considered as an alternative learning approach to support the development of fine motor skills in early childhood.
