This study aims to introduce local culture to children aged 3–4 years through cooking class learning activities at KB Tunas Harapan. The background of this research is the learning process that tends to be monotonous and dominated by the use of books and worksheets, resulting in less meaningful learning experiences for children. This research employed Classroom Action Research (CAR) using Kurt Lewin’s model, which consists of planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. The subjects of this study were 10 children aged 3–4 years. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed a significant increase in the recognition of local culture to recognize the names of traditional foods such as getuk, local food ingredients, and simple steps in the cooking process. In the pre-cycle stage, most children were in the Undeveloped category (60%). After the implementation of actions in Cycle I and Cycle II, children’s abilities increased, reaching the categories of Developed as Expected (70%) and Very Well Developed (30%) in Cycle II. Therefore, local culture-based cooking class learning is effective in increasing the recognition of local cultural in early childhood.
