Abstract

This study emerges in response to the low level of children's literacy skills and the scarcity of engaging learning media. It is designed to analyze the impact of using animated videos on children’s literacy abilities at Lasharan Guna Kindergarten. The approach employed is a quasi-experimental design using a Non-Equivalent Control Group Design, involving both an experimental group and a control group. The instrument was a two-syllable reading literacy test administered via pre-test and post-test. The results indicate that the experimental group, which received the treatment, showed an average increase from 10.00 to 19.60, whereas the control group, which did not receive the treatment, increased from 8.80 to 17.80. The difference in improvement of 1.60 demonstrates that animated videos are more effective than conventional learning methods. Thus, it is proven to have a positive effect on enhancing children's literacy abilities.
