Psychosocial Mental Health Analysis Of Post Earthquake Victims In Cianjur District

Disaster events are a serious threat to the continuity of human life and livelihood. Earthquakes are the most frequently occurring disaster and result in large losses such as human casualties, environmental damage, property loss, and psychosocial impacts felt by earthquake victims. The aim of this research is to determine psychosocial mental health problems among victims after the earthquake disaster in Cianjur Regency. This type of research uses quantitative. The population in this study were 100 earthquake victims in Cianjur Regency who were selected using purposive sampling. Frequency distribution analysis of the data was carried out with the results that 91 respondents (91%) experienced psychosocial problems and 9 respondents (9%) were mentally healthy. Apart from that, 74 respondents (74%) said they had PTSD symptoms after the earthquake disaster. Early detection of psychosocial problems is the first step in preventing mental disorders. Providing psychosocial mental health support is an appropriate step that can be used in the post-disaster stage.
