https://journal.umtas.ac.id/index.php/healtcare/article/view/4270

Therapeutic communication is a major medium to build a therapeutic relationship between nurses and patients. Therapeutic communication that is not carried out properly will cause patients to be less cooperative in accepting every action given, feeling dissatisfied and even asking for forced return. The implementation of this therapeutic communication is influenced by the desire, passion and motivation of the nurse to do the work. An evaluation at a general hospital in Cimahi City, shows that the implementation of this communication was only 80%, which is below the target of 90%. This study aims to determine the relation between nurse motivation and the implementation of therapeutic communication to patients at a general hospital in Cimahi City. A quantitative research and a cross-sectional approach used in the study. Technic sampling used a purposive sampling, 41 nurses being involved. Data was collected with a questionnaire for motivation and observation guidance for the implementation of therapeutic communication. Data analyzed with frequency distribution and chi square test. The results showed that 21 respondents (48,8%) had low motivation, and 19 respondents (46,3%) implemented complete therapeutic communication. Bivariate analysis showed that there was a relationship between nurse motivation and the application of therapeutic communication with p-value 0.001 (< α=0.05). It is recommended to the hospital management to increase the motivation of nurses by holding various activities or making certain policies.
Rahmi ImelisaDio Rifki CahyandiKhrisna WisnusaktiSetiawatiLilis Rohayani

https://journal.umtas.ac.id/index.php/healtcare/article/view/4331

Tuberculosis (TB) is still a health problem in the world because Tuberculosis (TB) is one of the 10 highest causes of death worldwide and the main cause of death from infectious agents. The stigma circulating in society influences the desire of patients not to undergo treatment or comply with TB treatment and people who have symptoms become afraid to check themselves and undergo screening because they are reluctant to be viewed negatively by society. This case study aims to determine the effect of health education as an effort to reduce negative stigma and increase willingness to screen. This research uses a case study method consisting of a needs assessment and intervention provided by a health education and TB screening program. Management data showed that 37 residents of Ciwalen Village who were studied had been diagnosed with pulmonary tuberculosis. Of the 37 people who had been diagnosed with pulmonary TB, only 34 people regularly took medication. The results of health education were 13 residents from taking part in screening activities before the health education activity and after the health education activity was held the number increased by 28 people. It can be concluded that the stigma of TB in society has an impact on the TB control process. Health education activities carried out as an effort to reduce the stigma of TB can increase the willingness of residents to undergo TB screening, especially for residents who are at high risk or residents who have symptoms.
Yolanda AmaliaSetiawanWitdiawati

The population in this study is 1,780 PUS with a sample size of 181 selected using accidental sampling technique. Data analysis was univariate and bivariate with chi square test. The results of the correlation test for knowledge showed a P-value of 0.020 (P <0.05), while the results for income showed a P-value of 0.010 (P <0.05), and the results for husband support showed a P-value of 0.015 (P <0.05). It can be concluded that there is a relationship between knowledge, income as well as husband's support and the interest of PUS in choosing IUD. It is recommended that health workers can provide education in the form of health promotion to family planning acceptors related to IUD, in order to increase the coverage of family planning acceptors. In addition, it is hoped that health workers can increase the frequency of providing counseling on the advantages of IUD both personally and in groups to increase information and maternal interest in using IUD.
PutriAsfeniDian Roza Adila
