This study aims to determine the effect of implementing the traditional dakon game on improving the cognitive abilities of early childhood children in Kober Kembang Harepan, considering the widespread trend of gadget use among children. This study used a quantitative method with a control group pretest-posttest design. The population and sample were grade A and B students of Kober Kembang Harepan, selected using a saturated sampling technique. Data collection techniques were conducted through observation and documentation, while data analysis used normality tests, homogeneity tests, and t-tests. The results showed that the control group (without dakon implementation) had a pretest score of 0.135 and a posttest score of 0.175, indicating no significant effect of the non-dakon intervention. In contrast, the experimental group that implemented the dakon game showed a significant increase with a pretest score of 0.202 and a posttest score of 0.355. This indicates that implementing the traditional dakon game has a positive and significant effect on improving the cognitive abilities of early childhood children.
