Abstract

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), the number of people with hypertension in Southeast Asia is 8%, or 147 million, and is expected to triple by 2050 compared to 2013. In the 2018 Riset Kesehatan Dasar results, 8.36% and 34.11% of measurements were diagnosed with hypertension. High blood pressure is a silent killer because it does not present typical symptoms. Symptoms include headache and fatigue. The purpose of this study was to investigate the association between warm water foot bath therapy and blood pressure reduction in hypertensive patients. One therapy that has been shown to help treat high blood pressure is a warm water foot bath. This literature review aimed to evaluate the efficacy of warm foot bath therapy in hypertensive patients. The research plan included conducting a literature search using Google Scholar as an electronic database. Search terms included hypertension, warm water foot spa therapy, and blood pressure. The review found 15 of his Google Scholar papers discussing the effects of hot foot bath therapy on hypertensive patients. Results of a literature review suggest that warm footbath therapy may lead to a reduction in blood pressure
