PENERAPAN TEKNIK RELAKSASI BENSON TERHADAP PENURUNAN TEKANAN DARAH PADA PASIEN HIPERTENSI BERDASARKAN: LITERATURE REVIEW

Hypertension is a disease known as the silent killer. If left unchecked in the long term, it can cause various complications such as heart failure and coronary heart disease, as well as increase the risk of stroke. One of the implementations is with non-pharmacological therapy Benson relaxation. The purpose of this scientific paper is to find out nursing care with the application of non[1] pharmacological therapy Benson relaxation on reducing blood pressure in hypertensive patients. The method used in this research is the Google Scholar search engine. The sample in this study consisted of three journal articles and one article on nursing care by integrating Al Islam and Kemuhammadiyahan about the effect of Benson relaxation techniques to lower blood pressure. The results of a literature review of studies in hypertensive patients found data on an increase in blood pressure exceeding 150/90 mmHg, dizziness, increased pulse, and increased breathing. Nursing diagnosis in hypertensive patients is the risk of ineffective cerebral perfusion. Planning to use non-pharmacological therapy Benson relaxation techniques to lower blood pressure. The implementation is in the form of the Benson relaxation technique based on the SOP. The evaluation showed a decrease in blood pressure after the Benson relaxation technique was carried out. Conclusion: Benson's relaxation technique is proven to be effective in reducing blood pressure in hypertensive patients. As a suggestion, the Benson relaxation technique can be used as an application of non-pharmacological therapy for blood pressure in hypertensive patients and for the public to know how to handle high blood pressure using the Benson relaxation technique
